Philip von Guggenberg, Ph.D., qualifies business leads, introduces commercial clients to SRI’s technologies and capabilities, and manages business and intellectual property issues in contract R&D and commercial license negotiations. He specializes in technology commercialization, strategic business development, intellectual property management, licensing, new venture creation, marketing, and key account management.
Over his 12+ years at SRI, Philip has negotiated many contract R&D and commercial license agreements in technology areas such as advanced robotics, speech recognition, and organic light-emitting diodes. In addition, he participated in launching three SRI spin-offs, including Artificial Muscle, Inc. now part of Bayer MaterialScience LLC.
He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
